Due to the great unrest in the world, especially due to the Ukraine crisis and China's zero-covid policy, absolute chaos has arisen on the metal market. There is a lot of uncertainty in the field of (energy) prices, availability of raw materials and delivery times. Freight traffic between Europe, North America and Asia is also still disrupted on a large scale. On March 8, London Metal Exchange even trading in nickel was temporarily suspended.
Producers and suppliers are therefore confronted with extreme price increases and increasing delivery times. This leads to producers suddenly leaving the market and current orders being cancelled. This will certainly cause major shortages in the long term.
Suppliers and users have started hoarding to cover the expected material needs for the coming months and/or ongoing projects. Furthermore, future purchases are expected to become increasingly expensive.
Due to ongoing developments, we are unfortunately also forced to regularly implement price changes.
Our quotes therefore have a very limited validity period. We ask for your understanding.
