What a special day it was once again during the Truckrun Krimpenerwaard 2026!
The main goal of this annual tradition is to provide people with an intellectual and/or physical disability, a chronic illness, or another vulnerable background with an unforgettable experience. As proud co-drivers in an impressive convoy of trucks, they were the center of attention for a whole day and were able to enjoy all the attention, enthusiasm, and camaraderie along the route.
Just like in previous years, Tuyterplein in Krimpen aan den IJssel served as the bustling starting and ending point of the day. With approximately 125 trucks, the convoy traveled through Krimpen aan den IJssel, Krimpen aan de Lek, Lekkerkerk, Bergambacht, Stolwijk, Berkenwoude, and Ouderkerk aan den IJssel. People lined the route everywhere to cheer on the participants enthusiastically, creating a festive atmosphere and many smiling faces.
We hope that all co-drivers enjoyed this wonderful day and thank all volunteers, drivers, escorts, and organizations for their tremendous efforts . Thanks to their involvement and enthusiasm, this edition was once again a great success.
